After been inspired to find a solution to the problems of hosiery snags - I discovered that there is no existing product available, thus the birth of Holey Moley. This is a light adhesive spray that can be used on hosiery to eliminate the worry of hosiery snags. It’s formula is kind to skin, tights and the environment. Use of the product also means that consumers can achieve more wear out of their tights, helping to reduce waste.
Holey Moley informs the consumer how to reuse their hosiery in interesting, creative and thought provoking ways. This idea along with the look and feel for the product was inspired by the 1940’s glamour status that hosiery once had, and the then need to preserve and reuse rather than waste.
I am always excited by the current trends for tights, but like most women, find wearing tights a pain as they don’t last very long before I end up snagging them. So for my own interest I tried to find an answer to the problem.
Since the 1940’s tights and stockings have remained a staple accessory, but how can women achieve more wear and better performance out of their hosiery, while at the same time helping the environment? Nylon is an oil based product and so has a massive role to play in the quest for greener living. Could producing a product that would save women, time, hassle and worry, also save the environment?
